My name is Carol.I am 51 years old. I have Temporal Lobe Seizure Disorder (a type of Epilepsy- I have had this problem for 25 years.It was originally called stress related blackouts) and I also have a reading problem. I have not been able to work since March 1st of this year. I have applied for Social Security and SSI and was turned down. I have filed an appeal. But it will be 3 years before my appeal case even makes it to court because Michigan is three years behind in there appeals. I can't work because of my seizures.I can't work because of my seizures. I can't drive because of my seizures. I am also suffering from Depression. I have no way to pay my bills. Luckily, my rent is income based- I have no rent. They give $60 for utilities. My daughter helps as much as she can. But she has two children-the youngest is 15 1/2 months old- and she is on disability herself. I was living in Mississippi when Hurricane Katrina hit. She didn't like my kitchen ceiling and decided to put it in my washing machine. I moved back to Michigan to help my daughter (she was pregnant at the time)and my granddaughter. I didn't have a job for six months. I had unemployment benefits and credit cards to live on. Now I can't pay anything on my cards. I am so far behind that I can't get caught up. I can't even afford to file Bankrupcy. I have tried looking for a grant that would be able to help me but they almost require either schooling or start up a new business. I wouldn't be able to get scholling because I wouldn't be able to retain or understand what I read. If you know where I can get help please e-mail me at crush5601@hotmail.com.

My doctor told me I can't drive , I feel like I have become an added burden to my daughter  (who is disabled herself  and has two childre herself).  I have not been able to work since March, 2007.  I need help to pay my bills I tried looking for a grant so I could pay off my creditors, medical bills and hospital bills. I hope I can find the help I need. I have applied for Social Security and was turned down.
